A Different Kind of Support
Most of us were never taught how our nervous system works.

But no one taught us how early experiences shape emotional meaning, relational patterns, or our sense of self. No one explained why we react the way we do, why certain situations feel overwhelming, or why familiar conflicts repeat even when we "know better."

A Note from Glenn
I did not set out to create a methodology. I set out to understand myself.
Like many people, my early life shaped emotional and relational patterns long before I had language for them. I searched for answers through psychology, spirituality, leadership training, and personal growth. Each offered insight, but none fully explained how the nervous system stores meaning-or how early experiences quietly shape our lives.
Over time, Neurological Intelligence® emerged not as a theory, but as a map.
My work is shaped by both professional training and lived experience. I meet people with respect, humility, and care. I also hold people accountable and gently challenge the stories that keep them from living fully.
- You are not here to fix yourself. You are here to understand yourself.
When the inner world becomes visible, the outer world becomes changeable. If you are here, you are not broken. Something within you is asking to be heard.

When The Village Bank opens its first Wellesley branch office in the historic downtown E.A. Davis building this summer, it will come with more than standard financial services.
A community room where civic groups and nonprofits can meet and hold events is something you may find at other banks. But how about a pop-up retail space designed to help jump-start a new generation of retailers and brands?
That's different. And some would add it's badly needed, particularly in a downtown space.
“The concept the bank is undertaking in Wellesley is different than what it has done historically,” said Amy Werner, Village Bank's chief retail and marketing officer. “We’re very excited to open our doors and support small businesses, to give them a leg up and a place to sell their wares, start their business and decide if retail is what they really want to do.”
The 725-square-foot pop-up space, at 579 Washington St. (Church Square), will be curated by UpNext, a Newton-based retail space rental agency that facilitates creative collaborations between landlords and brands throughout Greater Boston.
New concept allows small businesses to provide "pop" to struggling Mass. downtowns“We pair forward-thinking property owners, municipalities and developers with emerging and established brands, providing meaningful and unique ways to activate space and rethink the retail landscape,” said UpNext founder and CEO Allison Yee. “The pop-up space with the new Village Bank branch will be front and center. This isn’t a one-off pop-up; it’s an opportunity for a series of rotating small businesses to come in and activate the space. The storefront will have its own street access and prominent visibility.”
A community anchor
Founded in 1910, Newton-based Village Bank, a mutual savings bank, has been involved in the community from the beginning, according to President and CEO Joe De Vito.
“We’re a community bank and as such the focus is the community,” he said. “I don’t just mean financially, I mean through volunteerism, with our Village bankers serving on boards, on committees, going to events, being there and doing anything and everything to connect us differently to the community.”
Offering meeting space, which can be difficult to come by for groups and organizations, is another way for the bank to be a good neighbor. As an example, Werner explained the bank has a financial literacy series they’ll be offering to the community that will take place in the community room.
“We’re all about relationships — that’s what we do every day,” De Vito said. “It’s personal and it’s people. We look forward to establishing new relationships.”
A partnership formed 'out of shared values'
There is genuine excitement among officials from both Village Bank and UpNext to be combining their skills and talents and giving local small businesses a chance.
“It’s especially meaningful to partner with another institution that’s deeply rooted in our local business community,” said Yee, noting that UpNext is also headquartered in Newton. “Our headquarters are just around the corner from one of the Village Bank’s branches, and Joe and I have known each other for years through the Chamber and community work. This partnership really grew out of shared values."
Yee said UpNext's concept “represents a revolution” in how local financial institutions can really support small businesses. She pointed out that Village Bank has the commitment from the buildout stage, not as an afterthought.
“It’s not a pop-up for optics; it’s a structural commitment,” she said.
Werner envisions about a six-month rotation for pop-ups. “We’re looking to have seamless transitions to keep the community excited and to introduce and promote the up-and-coming businesses in our area,” she said.
De Vito is exploring introducing pop-ups at other bank locations as well. Besides its corporate office and loan center, Village Bank has nine branch offices — seven in Newton along with those in Waltham and Wayland.
“We’re open to how this can evolve,” De Vito said.
